you had the weirdo 773 #? I think I was watching I Am Legend when you called.

Noire is very sick and things were looking very bad but (hooray) she has started eating again a little more (Mom is mostly syringe-feeding her) and is perking up and acting more alert... so... we'll see. She even asked for food tonight! yay! This weekend, mom's strategy was pretty explicitly "keep her alive until I come home" and that was depressing. I think it's pretty clear her days are numbered, but the idea of not getting home first was really killing me -- I guess that's pretty selfish, huh? On the other hand, when I talk to her over the phone she starts licking the receiver and rubbing up against it. mebbe she gets that i'll be home soon and to hang in there, y'know?

(random depressing me, sorry)

dude, I called from my cell, it wouldn't have been 773. I left you a message! hah! (I just called again- I'll be up 'til 12 my time if you get this.)

:-( I'm sure she'll be ok, dude- it's great that she's eating and asking for food. You never know, she could get completely better! Anyway, she'll definitely be fine until you come home and I have a feeling that your presence will heal her. So that's what she's waiting for. :-D

Ahhh, I didn't answer because I left my phone in the bedroom (where he is already sleeping) -- I heard it, dummy me :/ - I am trying to finish something up and get to bed, though.

I seriously liked the movie. It proably helped that I read all the reviews and so expected that the second half would suck a lot, but in fact, I don't really think it did -- I think it's just that the first half of the movie is so awesome that the wrap-up has to pale by comparison. I dunno. I jumped A LOT. I even manage to bang his hand into the armrest and leave a mark, hahaha. Will Smith has a dog sidekick! Go dog! You should totally see it. I'd offer to see it again with you, but man, I am not cut out for movies where they try to make you jump or scare. (I know reviews thought it devolved into cheap thrill exploitation -- I thought it made sense with the context of the premise..... besides, you will LOVE the imagery of an empty NYC, it's so eerie)

Rindie put Noire on a regimen of stuff, lol, and that might be why she's doing better today. But I'm not kidding myself -- she most likely has bone cancer, some liver disease that means she can't metabolize things right (so no pain meds), and some secondary infection in her mouth (tooth?) that gives her a fever. It's crazy how advanced veterinary medicine has gotten :p But the doc also thought she was way older than we ever thought, so...

it is true that as long as she can eat, she's not like, in imminent danger from this stuff -- it's if she stops eating (like she had) that it's over. it is sad. I am mainly just concerned about her pain. i like that it sounds like she's doing better right now.

heh, but if you're trying to finish stuff up and sleep you should do that. :-p

The movie sounds good! I will see it!

:-( She has *all* of those things? Well, you'll definitely get to see her anyway, and Rindie will help a lot. :-(
